Things To Know Before Purchasing Auto Insurance Part 7

Tips and TricksWe’ve been in this series for a while now and the hope is that you’ll be better educated about auto insurance by the end. The more you know the better off you’ll be when it comes to purchasing a policy or renewing your current policy.

There may be a few different coverages that you should add to your policy instead of just sticking with the most basic of plans. The most popular coverages that aren’t typically required by state are the rental reimbursement, towing, labor coverage, and medical payments coverage. With these coverages you’ll have some benefits that a lot of people don’t get to take advantage of.

If you’re interested in learning more about coverages and your policies, but you’re worried that your agent will just try to push things on you then you may want to do some research elsewhere. There are tons of new things for you to learn about auto insurance that are explained here in this series. I would first start out by checking your state’s insurance department. This is where you can look at all of the coverages required for your policies and you can pick up some helpful information.

I am very into shopping around before buying anything. This includes things like insurance agencies. There are some places that will offer up price quotes for multiple different agencies which is extremely helpful, but you can’t always find this everywhere you go. If you get quotes from multiple different agencies it’s important that you give the same information every time. You would be surprised how much one small bit of information could change the quote you are given.

We here at Nelson Nissan, new and used Nissan Dealership near Bartlesville, still have one final article in this series. Stick around to get even more tips before you apply for your next auto insurance policy.

Safety For Those In The Versa Note

Features StampWe here at Nelson Nissan totally understand how important it is to have a vehicle that is packed with great safety features. No one would want to get into a vehicle that isn’t safe and with the new Nissan Versa Note you’ll get some great features without having to break the bank.

The Versa Note was crash tested by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety to ensure you some safety. The IIHS put this vehicle through the Moderate Overlap Front collision and received the highest rating of Good for it. It will have the Nissan Advanced airbag system which will work with the dual stage front airbags, seatbelts, and an occupant classification sensors. This system will determine whether or not your airbags will need to deploy based on who is in the front passenger seat. You will also have the front seat mounted side impact airbags and roof mounted curtain side impact airbags to offer head protection. Some of the other safety features of this new vehicle will include: a vehicle dynamic control, traction control system, three point safety belts for all seating positions, height adjustable front head restraints, rear outboard head restraints, Lower Anchors and Tethers for Child safety seats, zone body construction with front and rear crumple zones, hood buckling creases and safety stops, energy absorbing steering column, pipe style steel side door guard beams, and a tire pressure monitoring system with easy fill tire alert. The construction of this vehicle will be extremely beneficial for you whenever you’re in a collision. It can take the impact of the collision and help to keep it away from the passengers inside the vehicle.

Tips For A Better Road Trip Part 1

Family Packing VehicleWe’ve all been on road trips and there is a big chance that those trips were probably a little bit stressful. This is especially true if you were traveling with family or small children. With the holidays coming up I thought I would spill my secrets for having a (mostly) stress free road trip. I know that I don’t have all of the answers, but I can definitely say that I’ve had several pretty great road trips in the last few years and I think it has to do a little bit with how I prepare for the trip ahead. If you’re even the slightest bit interested in how I was able to make this happen then you’ll definitely want to stick around for this series.

The very first step in this process is to clean my car out. This may seem like a dumb and unnecessary step to take, but I promise it’s worth it. I believe it’s smart to start with a clean space and I always feel so much less stressed out when the area I’m in is clean and decluttered. So, grab a couple trash bags and clean your vehicle out run the vacuum over the floors and spray it down with some air freshener or essential oils. You’ll be shocked with how much this sets the tone for your trip.

After your vehicle is cleaned up you’ll want to get a quick check up for your vehicle. You definitely don’t want any issues looming over your head while you’re out on the road and you surely don’t want your vehicle to break down while on a road trip. It’s always best to have your mechanic do an oil change and then have him check out your fluids, wiper blades, tire pressure, and so on.  This is also a great opportunity to have some preventative maintenance done to your vehicle.

Nelson Nissan dealers with service in Tulsa still have several tips to share with you. Until the next article you can have your Nissan checked out at their service department.

How To Detail Your Vehicle Part 4

Car Detailing ProcessWe’ve covered the process of cleaning almost the whole interior of your vehicle. The only two things we have left are the carpets and the windows. This process is super simple, but it may take some time to fully clean depending on how long it’s been since you’ve detailed your vehicle.

Whenever it’s time to clean the carpets I have a certain procedure that I follow. I also start by cleaning the back seat carpets. I’ll always push the front seats all the way forward so it’s easier to get underneath the seats. You should make sure that you pull out the floor mats so that you can clean underneath them, as well. After I’ve vacuumed the back seat then I’ll move to the front and push those front seats all the way forward. Now that the carpets have been totally vacuumed I’ll look around for any stains that may need to be cleaned out of the carpets. If you find any stains you’ll grab the hard bristle brush and the carpet cleaner and scrub it clean. Leave the floor mats out of the vehicle until the floors have completely dried.

The only thing left to clean in the interior of the vehicle are the windows. I have a few tricks for this process in order help this process be a little bit more efficient. When cleaning the interior of the windows I’ll always wipe the windows vertically and when cleaning the exterior I’ll wipe them horizontally. The reason that I wipe them down liek this is because you’ll be able to see which side the streaks are coming from based on the direction they are going. Other than the way I wipe the windows I’ll just use the standard window cleaner spray and paper towels.

We here at Nelson Nissan, with new Nissan cars near Wagoner, have a few tips to help you clean your interior more thoroughly. If you’re interested in learning more then you should definitely stick around.
